The partially degraded meal box generally refers to the cornstarch based meal box, which is a polymer – polylactic acid obtained by chemical method from corn, cassava, etc. It is characterized by no harmful substances to human body, waterproof and oil-proof, and can be partially degraded. Compared with the traditional meal box, it is more environmentally friendly. The authenticity of cornstarch meal boxes starts from two aspects: color and odor. The white meal boxes may be added with some additives such as bleach and talcum powder, because the powder meal boxes themselves are yellow in color and smell of corn plants.
The fully degraded meal box generally refers to the meal box with straw, reed, sugarcane, bamboo and other plant fibers as raw materials under the action of microorganisms (bacteria, mold, algae) enzymes in the natural environment, which undergo biochemical reactions, causing appearance mildew to internal quality change, and finally form carbon dioxide and water.
